LINX US Regional Interconnection Point Welcomes First New Network from Latest PoP, QTS Data Centers, Ashburn VA

Netskope have been announced as the first network joining the LINX NoVA interconnection facility in Northern Virginia, from new full point of presence (PoP), QTS Data Centers.

LINX NoVA is a key interconnection location for the US. Owned and operated by the London Internet Exchange (LINX), LINX NoVA attracts a diverse community of networks, from local access networks, to large global content delivery networks and more recently, cloud access and enterprise networks.

Netskope are leaders of SASE (Security Access Service Edge), delivering cloud security to thousands of global enterprise networks, including more than 25% of the Fortune 100 companies. With the increasing reliance and demand for cloud-based services, the team at Netskope are finding their cloud security services are too, on the rise.

Raman Sud, Director, Internet Services of Netskope says;

“We are present at all the major Internet exchange points and are pleased to be present and peering at LINX NoVA. Joining LINX has given us more opportunities to interconnect with key networks as we deliver the best service we can for our end users.”

QTS became the 4th data centre partner for the LINX NoVA network earlier this year and this first connection from their Ashburn location looks like the start of many enquiries.

Jonathan Aufderheide, Vice President, Interconnectivity and Peering, QTS says;

“QTS is pleased to support LINX’s expansion in the US and welcome Netskope as their first peering and interconnection partner in the QTS facility in Ashburn, VA. Digital transformation is driving renewed interest in network connectivity ecosystems as enterprises seek new connectivity options to support global content and digital service distribution.”

Jennifer Holmes, CCO for LINX says;

“We are thrilled to be able to welcome Netskope to LINX NoVA. They have been peering on our London interconnection platform since mid 2019 so we are pleased to see their expansion to our regional Internet exchanges continuing with this latest connection. We look forward to working with them moving forward to expand their interconnection footprint at other LINX locations too!”

LINX recently announced the launch of wider services at their US exchange including Private VLAN and Closed User Groups to meet growing member network demand there.
