We are pleased to announce that the 2023 LINX Member Survey is now open.
Following your feedback, we have streamlined the survey this year making it simpler and quicker to complete while still allowing us to track trends over time.
LINX CEO, Kurtis Lindqvist, said: “It’s important for us to understand how you, our members, feel LINX is performing in all aspects of our work, and where you think we can improve. This helps to shape the future interconnection services of LINX.”
For completing this survey, you could win one of ten £50 Amazon vouchers! We will draw a lucky winner after the survey has closed on Tuesday 31st October.
Once collated, the anonymous results of this survey will be analysed and presented at the LINX120 member meeting on the 16th and 17th November 2022.
If you have any queries about the questions or the survey process, please contact Member Relations – Tel: +44 1733 207777 or mr@linx.net
We are proud to share that we have hit a new maximum peak of over 8Tbps of traffic being passed through the LINX global interconnection hubs. And what’s more, this doesn’t include our members private interconnection service traffic!
We hit our last major milestone back in October 2022, so to grow over 1Tbps in less than 12 months is a really excitement achievement and a reflection of the pace at which our world is advancing – digitally.
Thanks to our member network community and partners for your trust and collaboration, for the good of the Internet! Here’s to the next Terabit…
LINX will be bringing the exclusive Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS) to their regional interconnection hub in Manchester, UK. MAPS is a unique service that allows organisations to improve network connectivity with a direct connection to Microsoft cloud services (AS8075) by bypassing the public internet. This service enables low-latency access to Microsoft services like Microsoft365, Dynamics365, software as a service (SaaS) service or any other Microsoft service accessible with the public internet.
LINX Product Development Manager, Mike Hellers says; “We are pleased to be able to bring MAPs to our Internet Exchange in Manchester. The LINX Microsoft Peering Service is a unique product for us, and we believe, a game changer for the enterprise sector, who may not be using LINX already for traditional online traffic exchange via peering.”
Cloud services are becoming more and more important, so direct access to a cloud provider’s infrastructure is vital. Without it, you run the risk of high latency, and limited control of how your data moves between your business and your cloud service provider.
We have published a blog entitled Navigate your way to better network performance with MAPS and a video that covers the key drivers why networks should use the Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS) with LINX.

LINX recently announced a commitment to investing in a full network refresh of their US interconnection platform, LINX NoVA. Nokia have now been named as the technical partner to support them through this refresh, due to take place later this year.
LINX NoVA will be deploying Nokia’s 7220 IXR routers, running Nokia’s SR Linux NOS, to provide L2 connectivity services to connect sites across Northern Virginia. Leveraging Nokia’s leadership in both EVPN and VXLAN routing capabilities, LINX NoVA will have the scale and performance it needs to turn up services quickly and efficiently.
