LINX Mombasa

Be part of one of the fastest growing, global digital ecosystems

We are excited to announce our second location in Africa, new Internet Exchange Point (IXP), LINX Mombasa – Coming soon!

The strategic coastal location makes Mombasa the digital gateway for East Africa. It not only serves Kenya but also provides critical internet traffic infrastructure for neighbouring countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and even landlocked nations like South Sudan.

We are pleased to be extending our partnership with iColo in Kenya as we build a interconnected, resilient fabric for peering and more in Mombasa.

LINX Mombasa will be the first Internet Exchange Point at iColo’s MBA2 facility and with a physical presence in both sites this adds a new level of interconnection services for the region.

Connect your network to LINX Mombasa – the Internet Exchange Point for Kenya and be part of one of the fastest growing digital ecosystems in the World.

  • LINX Mombasa is a stand alone interconnection hub, which means it’s NOT connected back to LINX Nairobi or LINX in London to keep local traffic, local
  • LINX Mombasa is a public IXP, open to all networks looking to peer
  • 24/7 on call engineering support from the LINX NOC

  • A future-proof platform, 100G ready from day one

Want to know more? Simply complete the enquiry form below and a member of the team will be in touch.

  • The first cross connect to LINX Mombasa from iColo MBA2 is free of charge
  • There will be no charge for all LINX services for the first year of operation ie February 2025 – February 2026 (from go live date)
    • This includes the LINX membership fee (for those networks who are not already LINX members), port access and fees for any size service.
  • Following the first year promotion period, pricing for LINX Mombasa will follow LINX Nairobi pricing and all LINX members will get a 10G port and 2Gbps of peering included as part of their membership
